the idea

overcoming boundaries

We think the world needs fewer boundaries! Art is capable of breaking down many borders, but sometimes it also needs the right framework. Therefore, flausen+global seeks to establish an intensive exchange of work across national borders.

learning from one another

Artists from different countries research together in a residency, and can exchange perspectives and ways of working through an open-ended process.

promoting democracy

Art and culture are fundamental social drivers. We believe that societies need to be challenged again and again in order to remain open and continue to develop.

In the current geopolitical situation, it is more important than ever to connect artists and let their voices be heard.
